Tayma
Page Allies started Tayma Fine Jewellery in 1990 in Hong Kong
to fill a niche for handmade European-style jewellery.
Tayma specializes in exclusive one
of a kind creations, often working closely with a client to achieve
a perfect match between personality and gemstone.
Tayma jewellery is instantly recognizable
for its beauty and charm.
Her elegant and sophisticated designs
are showcased in a glamorous rococo atelier, an oasis of colour
and style high in the prestigious Prince's Building in Central, Hong Kong.
Tayma says ”I wanted to create
an informal, friendly atmosphere where people can come in and
look around and build up a personal collection of what suits them.
Clients often become good friends over the years.
A colourful background has produced
a colourful style. Growing up by the sea has given Tayma her love
of ocean colours, so aquamarines and sapphires are among her favourite
gemstones. However she says she is equally passionate about South
Sea keshi pearls, tourmalines and kunzite. “In fact, anything
unusual and beautiful intrigues me, “ she says.
“My jewellery style is classic
with a modern twist. I get my inspirations from art books, as
well as from the gemstones themselves. I love Renaissance portraits
for their rich colours and fabulous jewellery.”
Working with the same goldsmiths
for over thirteen years has meant that Tayma has an excellent
rapport with her craftsmen who can transform her designs into
the high quality pieces she is looking for.
Specialising in custom made one off
creations using unusual and rare coloured gemstones, Tayma Fine
Jewellery offers clients a very personal service in an industry
that usually caters for the mass market.
“Jewellery is all about emotion.
When you fall in love with a stone, you just have to have it.
A man who gives the woman he loves a piece of jewellery enjoys
looking at her wearing it. Nothing has changed over the years,
“she says.
With her keen eye for the unusual
and the inspirational, Tayma’s pieces are destined to become
the popular classics of the future.
